Our mission is simple: to find you the right American virtual assistant for your business. Searching for quality administrative support is a daunting task for any business, especially for small business owners who are limited in both financial resources and time.

At Secretary in Israel, we help your business succeed by matching you with highly educated and experienced American assistants who work virtually from their homes in Israel on a part-time basis. As a result, you're able to spend more time with clients and less time in your office.

With Secretary in Israel on your team, you can focus on what you do best (i.e., making money), and your American virtual assistant will help you with the rest (i.e., doing paperwork).

Our History

Secretary in Israel LLC originated as a solution to a problem. A friend of ours needed an experienced and well-educated assistant, but he wasn't able to find someone locally to work part-time and at the rates that he could afford.

Our founder, Sarah Leah Gootnick, suggested that he work with an American-born assistant who was living in Israel (a "virtual assistant"). That way, he could get the talent and experience of hiring someone locally but at considerably lower rates. In addition, this arrangement would help create income for a woman living in Israel (see "Our Social Mission" below).

When, using her connections in Israel, Sarah Leah helped this friend get in touch with the right American assistant for the job, he was thrilled. This friend has repeatedly told us that his American virtual assistant through Secretary in Israel is the best assistant he has ever had in the 30 years that he's been in business. Not only has that working relationship succeeded, but it led to the creation of a new company, Secretary in Israel LLC.

Our Social Mission: Helping Women in Israel Find Work

Did you know that 1 out of 5 families in Israel -- and 1 in 3 Israeli children -- live below the poverty line (according to the National Insurance Institute of Israel, Annual 2006 Survey)? Finding work in Israel, especially work that pays livable wages, is extremely difficult for many people.

This is one of the reasons that we created Secretary in Israel LLC -- to help American women and families living in Israel find work that pays living wages. By working with an American virtual assistant through Secretary in Israel, you're helping to make a difference in the life of your virtual assistant and in the lives of her entire family.
